Kobanê, Feb 4, 2015 - At the initial stage of victory, the resistance against terrorist attacks of Daesh (ISIS) in Kobanê continued Feb 3 on day 142. As part of Campaign Kobanê Liberation, our units persistently continue to conduct their operations in rural districts of the city.

 

Our forces last night launched numerous operations in east and south Kobanê. In the eastern front, the villages of Kabacûk, Qeramûs and Taşlokê (Bodlan) were aimed during the operation led by our units. As a result of this operation all three villages were entirely liberated from terrorist groups.

 

Terrorists’ casualties inflicted in action were not immediately verified. However, a Tunisian member of terrorist forces was captured alive along with a number of weapons and ammunition, 4 terrorists’ bodies were also left on the battlefield.

 

Our forces of the People’s Defense Units (YPG) along with the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ) similarly targeted the villages of Sittî, Beşalti, Mewcik and Birêrep in south Kobanê.

 

As a result of the operations conducted last night in south Kobanê, the cited villages were completely liberated and heavy losses were suffered by terrorists. In this operation 26 members of terrorist forces were confirmed killed, our units were able to seize 1 military vehicle, 10 AK-47 rifles, 71 magazines, 2000 bullets, 1 PK MG, 4 hand grenades, 10 ammunition carrying vests, and a pair of daytime binoculars.
