Kobanî– The resistance against terrorist attacks of Daesh (ISIS) in the city of Kobanî continued on the 131st day. Our forces of the People’s Defense Units (YPG) along with the Women’s

Defense Units (YPJ) are continuing their operations with the objective of liberating the city center from terrorist forces completely, and are simultaneously advancing in the Southern / Western countryside of Kobanî.

 

Our units of the YPG/YPJ last night could advance on all the Eastern front. A region which extends from the Sinaî area in Northeast Kobanî to the 48 Street, was totally cleansed from terrorist groups. In the regions that hold the Sinaî area, Seyda Neighborhood, Seyda Mosque, and the Dibistana Şerîa, our forces could advance within 2 streets towards East.

 

During the operation conducted last night in the Eastern front 18 terrorist forces were confirmed killed. Beside 9 terrorist bodies, our units were able to seize 6 AK-47 rifles, 65 AK-47 magazines, 3000 bullets, 3 PK MGs, 900 PK bullets, 3 RPG-7 rocket launchers, 6 rockets of RPG-7, 10 hand grenades, 5 hand-made mines, and 1 filming device from terrorist groups.

 

Our forces carried out another operation between the Street 48 and the Hill Mishtenur, killed 5 terrorist members, and captured a terrorist body along with an AK-47 rifle.

 

On the Eastern front of Kobanî two of our comrades who expressed a great effort for the accomplishment of the operations, fought heroically, and were martyred in action.

 

Advancing inside the city, our units are correspondingly conducting special operations against the occupied villages in Kobanî countryside.

 

Our forces last night led an operation in the village of Termik, 2 kilometers South Kobanî, aimed to liberate that village. This operation was effectively directed where the village was completely liberated from terrorist forces. In this operation 2 terrorist members were confirmed killed while 5 others were wounded. Our units managed to seize 2 tanks, 1 DShK 12.5 and 50 shells, 2 AK-47 rifles, 2 rockets of RPG-7, and 6 hand-made mines.

 

Numerous operations were conducted by our forces in the villages of Kazika, Sosan, and Siftek, in the Western countryside of Kobanî. Our forces targeted a convoy of the terrorist forces on the road to Kazika village, damaged 3 military vehicles of terrorists. In the village of Sosan, 15 kilometers West Kobanî, a military vehicle was destroyed along with the operatives inside. Our forces were able to damage another military vehicle of the terrorists in the village of Siftek, 17 kilometers West Kobanî. The number of terrorists’ casualties were not immediately confirmed.

 

As a result of the operations conducted by our units in the past 24 hours, 25 members of terrorist forces were killed in and around Kobanî.

 

Til Hemis – Our forces last night carried out an assault operation against terrorist groups of Daesh in the village of Genamiyê, North Til Hemis. During this operation one terrorist was confirmed killed.
