Hesekê– The Baathist Syrian regime forces continued their attacks on the city of Hesekê where they targeted the Tala'a, Khashman, and Mihat neighborhoods during the clashes last night, heavy fighting lasted until the late hours of night. Since the

beginning of their attacks, regime forces are ruthlessly targeting the civilian neighborhoods of Hesekê with heavy weaponry such as mortars. Correspondingly, the regime forces last night (9:00 pm) used cluster bombs (internationally banned weapon of warfare) against our units.

 

With the heroic resistance showed by our units of the YPG/YPJ, Asayish forces, and our people in Hesekê, regime attacks fail and their forces suffer severe blows despite brutal attempts. Dozens of regime forces have been killed in the Talay neighborhood, Khashman check-point, Sabakh roundabout, and near the wheat silos since these fresh attacks.

 

During the clashes yesterday, five of our comrades in the YPG/YPJ units and two civilians were martyred. According to what has been confirmed, 14 civilians have been injured as a result of the attacks by Syrian regime forces. A number of weapons and ammunition of the regime forces have been seized by our units.
